Brenda Gibbons

Brenda Gibbons is an experienced senior manager, with more than 25 years experience in managerial and leadership roles in large, complex, public sector organisations. She has held a diverse range of leadership and managerial positions in higher education, the science research sector and the banking industry.

For the past eight years, Brenda has been undertaking executive search specialising in senior leadership roles in the tertiary education sector, searching both domestically and internationally. She has successfully managed over 100 assignments for Australian tertiary institutions, including for Executive Deans, Heads of Schools and Research Institutes, Professors, Chief Financial Officers and Executive Directors. Brenda brings 20 years of diverse recruitment experience to executive search, gaining significant HR management experience working as the Operations and Resource Manager for a large Crown Research Institute in Auckland, New Zealand.

For 12 years Brenda held a senior leadership position at The University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, managing a broad range of business operations, from student fees, loans and allowances, to disability support services, residential colleges and entrepreneurial activities.  This enabled her to gain an in-depth knowledge of universities, their policies, procedures, programs, structures and operations.
